The new 140-bed, five-story Temecula Valley Hospital, built on 37 acres, will have all private rooms and a 20-bed intensive care unit (ICU), as well as six high-tech surgical suites, digital imaging and an advanced electronic clinical information system. A relatively new feature at Temecula Valley Hospital will be a Consolidated Treatment Unit - a uniquely designed emergency department that allows expansion according to need - and where inpatients and outpatients can prepare for procedures.
UHS Design and Construction employed a unique collaborative approach to designing Temecula Valley Hospital. The firm of HMC Architects collaborated with medical professionals and constructors to take part in the design process, focusing on the present and future healthcare needs of the South Riverside County community.
